Make a listUse a cube sheet, or make your own list of all the major items to be moved. This will not only help you keep track of everything you want to move, but will also help us make a more accurate estimate as to how long the job will take us.
Pack everything with careWhen packing, make sure not to over-pack boxes, and pack heavier items in smaller boxes. A good rule of thumb is: if you can lift it, we can lift it. Pack your fragile items in either bubble wrap or packing paper, and make sure they will not be bumping against hard items that could break them. As well, if you have any dressers with drawers or doors, try to secure them shut with non-marring tape.
Label your boxes Use either packing labels or a thick marker to clearly label boxes for their destination room, and whether or not they contain fragile materials. Also include any special handling instructions on the boxes (such as "This Side Up"). You can even color coordinate your labeling to make it easier for yourself and us to know where boxes should go.
Protect your valuablesAlthough we offer limited cargo protection, and take the utmost care to protect your possessions, our coverage may not be able to replace items with sentimental value. We recommend fragile items be properly packed and labelled, and if you have any small personal valuables, consider taking them personally when you move.
